Catherine Kan, NP

Catherine Kan received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from New York University. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the College of New Jersey, and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Drexel University. She is a certified emergency nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and a certified family nurse practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Catherine believes all people should be treated with dignity and respect. She strives to provide compassionate and thoughtful care that addresses each individual's needs and concerns.

Catherine loves the ER because there are new and interesting challenges every day, and she gets to meet people from all different backgrounds! It makes her proud to be able to help figure out how to help them, and then to be able to help them immediately through the collaboration with doctors, nurses, technicians, and all of the other professionals that work here.

In her free time, Catherine enjoys ballet, martial arts, mountain biking, and swimming. She once won the award for best homemade apple pie from the San Mateo County Fair!
