Manjul Patwardhan, MD, specializes in family medicine and medical weight loss. She is dedicated to the philosophy of "total health" through a unique blend of primary care and specialized obesity management.

With board-certification in family medicine and specialized training through the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA), Dr. Patwardhan offers a unique clinical perspective on chronic disease prevention and long-term wellness.

Dr. Patwardhan empowers her patients to become active participants in their own healthcare. She explains, "My mission is to provide the highest quality medical guidance and education to ensure that every individual has the tools for a healthier, more vibrant life."

At the heart of Dr. Patwardhan's practice is the Sudha Bariatrics program - a physician-led, evidence-based weight loss initiative. Her approach combines chronic disease management with structured weight loss methodology, including metabolic testing and personalized nutrition.

She shares, "Research shows that losing just 5-10% of one's body weight significantly improves blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. I use this clinical milestone as the foundation for every customized plan."

Additionally, Dr. Patwardhan is an official provider of immigration physicals for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. She also performs travel counseling and student sports physicals.

Dr. Patwardhan earned her medical degree with honors and a gold medal in India, and she completed her residency at the University of Illinois/Christ Hospital in Chicago. She is proud to serve her community in English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati.

Outside of work, Dr. Patwardhan is a fitness enthusiast with a deep belief in spirituality and culture. An avid hiker and wanderer, she has completed the Kailash Parikrama Trek and climbed Mount Fitz Roy and Mont Blanc. She finds joy in nature and values time spent with friends, whether exploring the outdoors or engaging in thoughtful discussions with her book club.

Above all, she treasures time with her family - her husband, her daughter-in-law and her two sons, both of whom are physicians-in-training. In her kitchen, she practices what she teaches, preparing the "four-quadrant meals" she recommends to her patients to fuel a healthy, balanced life.
