Marisa Scofield, MD

Dr. Marisa Scofield is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. She received her bachelor's degree from Stanford University and earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her emergency medicine residency at University of California Davis Medical Center and now works full-time at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View.

Dr. Scofield is currently the quality assistant medical director and physician lead for sepsis in the emergency department. She enjoys keeping up with the latest research and education and continues to make every effort to improve the quality of care that is provided at El Camino Health. She is humbled to work with so many incredibly talented, hardworking, conscientious colleagues who provide the best care this area has to offer.

Dr. Scofield believes in providing excellent and compassionate care while striving to educate and empower patients to help make shared decisions. She believes in patient autonomy and does everything in her power to seek out a diagnosis, explain all the findings in detail, and help each patient understand and choose the path that is best for them. She enjoys the physical and emotional demands of this job and hopes that at the end of each visit, patients are left feeling improved, reassured, listened to and cared for.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, staying active, finding the best snorkel destinations and enjoying delicious home-cooked meals.
