Michelle Nguyen, MD

Dr. Michelle Nguyen is a board-certified gastroenterologist. She strives to form partnerships with her patients that honor their individuality and dignity. Her approach involves gaining an understanding of her patients' unique healthcare needs and implementing highly skilled, compassionate care to best meet those needs.



Dr. Nguyen been practicing for more than 15 years and specializes in:



- Colonoscopy with advanced polyp resection/endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR)

- Upper endoscopy

- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)

- Esophageal pH studies

- Small bowel video capsule endoscopy

- Hepatitis B and C

- Liver transplantation



She graduated from an accelerated seven-year BS/MD program at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Nguyen went on to complete her internship and residency at Yale University School of Medicine. While at Yale, she volunteered to serve under-resourced communities through the Office of Global Health.



Outside her practice, Dr. Nguyen is an active member of her Buddhist temple and enjoys meditation and yoga. She is married to an emergency medicine physician and has one daughter. Many of Dr. Nguyen's weekends are spent cheering on her daughter at her water polo games.
