Nitin Tandan, MD

Nitin Tandan, MD, is a cardiologist. He treats the full scope of heart and vascular conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, valvular heart disease, structural heart disease and co-occurring heart conditions in cancer patients.

Placing a strong focus on individualized, patient-centered care, Dr. Tandan enjoys learning about each patient and their background. He empowers people with clearly presented up-to-date information that helps them make informed healthcare decisions. Dr. Tandan strives for a partnership with his patients, saying, "Ultimately, I'd like the patient to share their thoughts and choose a therapy that best suits their needs."

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Tandan is happy to serve his home community. He explains, "El Camino Health has a long history of providing quality care and excellent service. I hope to meet, or even exceed, patient expectations and experiences."

Dr. Tandan has conducted clinical research and has authored and co-authored multiple publications, several of which are listed on PubMed. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology.

Outside of work, Dr. Tandan values time with his family. He enjoys cooking, hiking, Bollywood dancing, and playing and watching a variety of sports.
