Outside of work, Dr. Karin is an avid mountain biker. He is married to Dr. Mardi Karin, who is a clinical professor of surgery at Stanford. Together, they enjoy spending time with their adult children and their grandchildren.

the best doctor I have ever seen in my life. His kindness, politeness, and genuine warmth are beyond words. He has a natural, beautiful smile that instantly brightens your heart and makes you feel at ease. There is something truly special about the way he treats his patients; he makes you feel cared for, respected, and valued. Doctors like him are rare, and his compassion and beautiful personality make him stand out not only as an exceptional doctor but also as a wonderful human being.
