Shashwati S. Kale, MD, is a family medicine doctor who works with patients of all ages. She provides preventive and wellness care, acute care, chronic condition management and women's health care.
After practicing for more than 25 years, Dr. Kale finds that patient relationships are still what she enjoys most about her work. She explains, "I enjoy spending time with my patients and building trust. I've found that strong relationships often help uncover root problems and can lead to better care."
Dr. Kale served as president of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin - Northern California (2024-2025). For 10 years, she volunteered as a clinical preceptor for the Stanford Medicine Primary Care Associates Program. In 2024, she won the Award for Outstanding Contribution in Community Service from the Santa Clara County Medical Association.
Dr. Kale is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi, and she has working knowledge of Spanish.
Outside of work, Dr. Kale loves spending time with her husband, their two daughters and their dog, Athens. She enjoys attending concerts and working with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
