Anlin Xu, MD Allergy and Immunology in SAN JOSE, California

Anlin Xu, MD, is an allergy, asthma and immunology specialist. She treats a wide range of allergic and immune conditions, including nasal and eye allergy, asthma, food allergy, eczema, hives, and contact allergy to personal care products and cosmetics, in both children and adults. An allergy sufferer herself, Dr. Xu is passionate about bringing the same levels of symptom relief and satisfaction in treatment to all her patients for more than 20 years.

Dr. Xu is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS), and American Medical Women's Association (AMWA); and a Master of the Alliance of North American Chinese Physicians (ANACP).

Dr. Xu is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Dr. Xu enjoys uncovering the root of her patients' health problems and designing targeted treatment plans to address those issues. She says, "I live for the moments when my patients tell me that they can breathe better, their skin has stopped itching, their eyes are clear, and they can safely eat the foods that they love again."

She explains, "Aside from accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment, great medical care also has to take into consideration of the patient's life conditions, family situations and their own beliefs in health and medicine."

Dr. Xu partners with her patients throughout their journeys to better health. She believes that good medical care starts with careful listening, which is why she works to create an atmosphere where her patients feel safe and heard.

Besides her clinical practice, Dr. Xu is also an influential physician leader both regionally and nationally. Dr. Xu was a Past President of the Santa Clara County Medical Association (SCCMA), 2023. She has also been a Delegate to the California Medical Association (CMA) for many years. Dr. Xu was Co-President of the South Bay American Medical Women's Association (SBAMWA) twice in 2012-13 and 2020-21.

For her outstanding community services, and leadership, she had received many national and regional awards, including the American Medical Women's Association's "Inspire" Award (2025), the Santa Clara County Medical Association's "Outstanding Contribution" Award (2024), and the Alliance of North American Chinese Physician "Mastership" (2025).

Outside of work, Dr. Xu enjoys swimming, gardening, tasting great foods, and spending time with her family and friends.
