Heather Fathi Taher, MD

Dr. Heather Taher is a board-certified emergency medicine physician. She completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in neurobiology, physiology and behavior at UC Davis. She then went on to earn her master's in public health degree as well as a medical degree from Tulane University. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She is an emergency department operations representative, as well as an emergency medical services (EMS) representative.

Dr. Taher was born and raised in San Jose, CA. The daughter of an emergency department nurse, she was "raised" in emergency medicine. From volunteer, to EMT, to emergency department tech, and finally as a physician, she has been in and around emergency departments her whole life. She was always drawn to the collaborative approach of emergency medicine - one team of people always working together to help patients in their hour of need.

Dr. Taher has a passion for EMS and serves as a medical advisor for the Santa Clara County EMS system.

Dr. Taher and her husband live in the area near their families. She is an avid golfer, and she and her husband love to the travel the world with family and friends.
