I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer during a routine colonoscopy on a Thursday afternoon. The following Monday I was in Dr. Shiva Singhal's exam room and met with her and the cancer team. They quickly ordered a Pet/CT and a CT with Imaging and connected me with Dr,. Shyamali Singhal the Surgeon. Within less than three weeks from my colonoscopy Dr. Shyamali Singhal removed my cancerous tumor (Stage 1 and no lympn node involvement) at El Camino Hospital. I spent 5 nights at El Camino Hospital. Because these two doctors and the teams at the El Camino Cancer Center and Hospital provided such good medical care, my cancer was removed before it could spread and it saved my life. I now check in with Dr. Shiva Singhal every three months. She explains everything to me in an understandable format and has been extremely kind and professional. Same for Dr. Shyamali Singhal the El Camino Cancer Surgeon. Thank you El Camino for helping so many receive wonderful care.

The doctor was very good in explaining the CT results and suggested next steps. She answered all our questions and said she would speak to the urologist and primary doctor to coordinate the treatment for this stage four cancer of the prostrate, colon and bones.
